Willow Smith Channels ‘The Fresh Prince’ In New Video
Eleven-year-old phenom Willow Smith's latest tune is called "I Am Me," and it's a heartfelt ballad devoted to the importance of individuality. However, ironically enough--while the young singer defends her uniqueness, she also chooses to neatly channel her dad, Will Smith, back in his early '90sFresh Prince of Bel-Air heyday.
Like father, like daughter...Willow borrowed a few things from Will's repertoire in order to pay this homage. First of all, her vintage outfit: An oversized polka-dot shirt, black sneakers, colorful socks...it's like, totally, "Yo, holmes, smell ya later!"
Second, the video's shot in New York City, not West Philadelphia. But Willow cleverly incorporates a painted wall to mirror the iconic graffiti seen on her father's hit comedy, as well as his videos with DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Third? Well, just check out Willow's moves. In the latter half of the video, she gets Fresh with some old-school dancing, busts out the slo-mo, and looks almost eerily like dear old dad when she gets a little goofy and makes a couple exaggerated faces
Go ahead and compare her new video with the classic opening segment for Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which you can watch HERE. We're sure Will enjoyed this as much as we do!
Willow's always been a fan of her father's work. In fact, in this exclusive interview with Yahoo! Music from 2010, she says she might consider remaking his Grammy-winning 1988 hit "Parents Just Don't Understand."
"There's a possibility that I will," Willow smiles. "It's a really great song,"

Sean Paul Talks Tomahawk Technique, Working With Rihanna & Supercat
Sean Paul is widely regarded as the most commercially successful dancehall artistes of the last decade. Sean Paul’s sophomore album Dutty Rock propelled him to international stardom in 2002, selling more than six million copies worldwide. Sean Paul would go on to release one of the biggest hit songs of the last decade, Baby Boy, a duet with Beyonce. The single topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine consecutive weeks.
Sean Paul releases three albums since Dutty Rock. This includes The Trinity, Imperial Blaze and his latest Tomahawk Technique.
Tomahawk Technique was released January in the European market. The album features a new sound from Sean Paul that hardcore dancehall fans often criticize. Nevertheless, the album is well received.
During a recent interview with Global Grind, Sean Paul opens up about the album, Tomahawk Technique, working with Rihanna, and wanting to work with dancehall icon Supercat.
On Tomahawk Technique
I call it Tomahawk Technique because I think it’s cutting-edge, as to what dancehall can offer to the world right now. I’ve been very successful with dancehall music and the production that I’ve had from Jamaica, throughout the world. At this point in time, I just feel the need to expand a little bit. The inspiration was to have dancehall produced by people who do not produce dancehall all the time—pop producers, R&B producers, dance music producers—and see how it would sound. I expand the sound, sounding a little bit more pop, a little more dance-oriented. That’s what is happening on this album right now. That was the focus, and that was what I was trying to achieve. I think I did! I think it sounds pretty cool, and I think people should like a couple of the songs on there. Pretty hot stuff!
On wanting to work with Supercat
I’ve been reaching out to Supercat, who’s like the mentor for me in the business. Ever since I started to rhyme, people told me I sound like Cat…it would be an honor. I met him a couple times. We’ve talked, but not really a lot. Another dude is Shabba who is another legend I’ve looked up to. I wanted to see if I could get him on a track. He’s somebody I’ve looked up to for many years. Also, I can speak about a song I did with one of dancehall’s legends Spragga Benz. It’s something I produced and wrote, and wanted him to do. He expressed to me that he wanted me to do the song with him. The song is called, “Cylinder.” It’s an inspirational song. I think my dream has come true, in terms of me working with someone I look up to in the business with Spragga Benz.
On collaborating with Rihanna
Actually, Rihanna had a few weeks of break after her first album. She said, “I coming to Jamaica! Show me around.” I was like “For sure! Let’s go to the studio too!” One of those days I took her to the beach. We went to the Bob Marley Museum, which was very important for her. We went to clubs, and we went to the studio.
That song came out that studio. It was very stress free. It wasn’t like any label told us to do it. That was one of my favorite collaborations because she got to see the way I live, and how we do it in Jamaica, which is not unfamiliar to her because she’s from the Caribbean. That was kind of cool for me, so it was one of my favorite collaborations. I’m very proud of what she’s been able to achieve since then. Anytime she reaches out musically, I’ll be there.
According to Sean Paul, an official U.S. release date for Tomahawk Technique has not yet been set.

Facebook has set the share price for its upcoming initial public offering (IPO) at between $28 and $35 per share, valuing the company at between $85bn-$95bn (£52bn-£59bn).
The IPO is set to be the largest ever for an internet firm, bigger than Google's valuation of $23bn in 2004.
IPOs are when companies list shares on the stock market for the first time.
Facebook is set to list on the Nasdaq and would rival Amazon's and Cisco System's current market values.
It is thought that Facebook will start promoting the share offering on Monday. Its shares are expected to start trading under the symbol "FB" on 18 May.
More than 10% of the business is being sold, which is expected to raise about $12bn for the company.
The eight-year-old social network has 900 million users worldwide and made a profit of $1bn last year.Mobile growthThere is expected to be a huge take-up, though some investors have voiced concerns about the company's longer-term growth.
Last week, Facebook reported its first drop in revenue between quarters for two years.
But during a video presentation on Thursday Facebook executives sought to allay those concerns, pointing to mobile as an area for growth that the company will invest heavily in.
Last month Facebook said it would buy the fast-growing mobile phone photo sharing app Instagram for $1bn, its largest purchase ever.Zuckerberg-controlledThe higher valuation still falls short of the $100bn that had been talked about for Facebook.
But it is not uncommon for IPO price ranges to move up if there is strong investor demand for the stock.
Facebook founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg will remain in control of the company even after the IPO, controlling more than 57.3% of the voting power through shares he holds and through voting agreements with other stockholders.
He will own 31.5% of Facebook's outstanding stock. At the top end of the price range, this would make his holdings worth $17.6bn.
Such a value would put him at about number 33 on Forbes' list of the world's richest people.

BY SIMONE MORGAN Observer staff reporter morgans@jamaicaobserver.com
The movie is the sequel to the 2002 urban classic Shottas, which starred Ky-Mani Marley, Carlton 'Spragga Benz' Grant and Munair Zacca.
According to a post via Twitter, Cess Silvera — writer/director of Shottas — said Mavado (given name David Brooks) began filming on April 20.
Silvera never indicated the direction of plot, but tweeted: "Mavado and Shottas 2 is a lethal combination."
Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley, will reclaim the role of 'Biggs' for the project.
Shottas, is the Jamaican term for gangsters, chronicles the lives of two friends who participated in organised crime in Jamaica and the United States. The 2002 flick had a cult following long before its 2006 American debut.

Since then he has inked a deal with DJ Khaled's We the Best Music Group. He has released singles such as Emergency which features hip-hop artiste Ace Hood and Survivor, a collaboration effort with Akon.

David Beckham shows he can still blast it into the top corner
It's been an unpleasant start to the season for the LA Galaxy. On Saturday night they looked more like reigning MLS champions after a 3-1 win over Portland that was topped off by a beautiful goal from David Beckham.
Beckham was given too much time and far too much open space in the middle of the pitch to blast his shot into the top corner from distance. And the result seemed inevitable even though he was subbed out of the last match he played at halftime. But, as everyone should know by now, David Beckham has a habit of reminding people that he's still got it whenever they start to doubt him.
