Pending Divorce May Mean Pending Listings for Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes

Source: People.com
Marriage, divorce, the birth of a child, a new job or any major life change usually impacts real estate. And if you’re a celebrity, the changes can affect a whole lot of real estate.
From Kobe Bryant deeding over several of his estates to his estranged wife to Kelsey and Camille Grammer listing their properties, chances are if a couple divorces in Tinseltown, it will be reflected on the MLS at some point.
It was announced Friday that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after five years of marriage, and like many A-list Hollywood couples, the two own quite a few properties together. Here’s a rundown of a few of their homes.

California

Cruise is a Hollywood mainstay for box-office hits. He recently starred in “Mission Impossible III,” and “Rock of Ages” is currently in theaters. He’s a longtime LA resident and lived in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood with previous wife Nicole Kidman.
Hollywood Hills — purchased in 2005
Cruise purchased the 4,965-square-foot home (above) before he was married to Holmes for $9.85 million. The Hollywood Hills home sits on 2.4 ultra-private acres and has 3 bedrooms and 4 baths.
Beverly Hills — purchased in 2007
Apparently Cruise’s Hollywood Hills home was not big enough for his new bride. Shortly after their wedding, he dropped $30.5 million for a 10,286-square-foot Beverly Hills estate. Built in 1937, the enormous home has a tennis court and several vine-covered wings.

New York

Holmes is most often captured by the paparazzi on the streets of New York with her little mini-me Suri in tow. The fashionable mother-daughter duo spend their time in a tall brownstone in Greenwich Village.
Outside of the Big Apple and L.A., Cruise has a few other homes that he purchased prior to marrying Holmes, including an estate in Telluride, CO, that he picked up in 1995 and a home in Montecito, CA.
